First Aid Classes

Each year VESCONE teaches a number of Pet First Aid classes, both on and off site, to those who are interested in knowing what to do in an emergency.

Pet First Aid: Dogs and cats are curious creatures that can, and will, get into just about anything. Knowing what is potentially toxic and how to recognize if there is something wrong with your pet is extremely important. Here are some of the things you will learn in our interactive First Aid Course:

  • Hands-on Pet CPR
  • How to bandage a wound
  • What to do when your pet is choking

Is This an Emergency? This free class is discusses how to tell if a dog or cat is experiencing a true medical emergency. Here are some things you will come away with:

  • The most common illnesses and injuries
  • Understand and read normal vital signs
  • What are true emergency signs/symptoms
  • How to handle your pet in the event of an emergency

There is a $20 fee to attend Pet First Aid--100% of funds will be donated to the Animal Rescue League of Boston. Space is limited so please register you, and if applicable your pet, early. Call 781-684-8387 to register. All classes are held at VESCONE and start at 7pm unless otherwise specified.
